Gallardo LP 550-2 Bicolore

Submitted by on December 17, 2011 – 6:54 amNo Comment

New versions of the Gallardo seem to be coming out with the frequency of North African revolutions. The latest for the U.S. market is the LP550-2 Bicolore, so named because of its 2-tone color scheme. While Europe and Asia will get the LP560-4, meaning their Bicolore will have 10 more bhp and come with all-wheel drive, our rear-drive car is sportier. Despite having less power from its 5.7-liter V-10, the U.S car boasts the same 0–60 time of about 3.7 seconds because the LP550-2 weighs less. At Monticello Motor Club, the rear-wheel-drive LP550-2 Bicolore exhibited crisper turn-in and allowed me to break the rear tires loose to help point the car’s nose in the right direction. If you’re not careful on the throttle (and brakes), the rear will slide out, so smoothness is key in getting the most out of this Lambo. The Gallardo LP550-2 Bicolore is priced at $191,900.
